Scheduled WEBSITE Maintenance October 10, 2013

Hey all,

I just found this announcement in the Lotro Client:

All LOTRO Websites including lotro.com and the LOTRO forums will be unavailable from 10:00 AM Eastern (-4 GMT) until 12:00PM Eastern (-4 GMT) while we perform system maintenance. ย The game worlds will remain up and available.

I like it that the game worlds stay up and running. However….. I had hoped they’d fixed a problem many players are complaining about since the last maintenance:

  • Hanging of the client upon checking credentials
  • Client not correctly closing
  • Client freezing when moving (i.e. using swift travel, moving through the landscape)
  • Rubber banding

Any other problems I missed?

Have fun playing!

      • I think it was routine server stuff rather than game updates as no update notes were given…

Well I am happy I can still play…even if the getting IN and OUT is a bit funky (Lotro interface still crashes every so often as well!)

  2. […] Sheherezi is working on her guild reputation (that is to say, if I can actually log her in without problems). I hope to have her on the max level in a few weeks with enough time left to prepare some repasts […]

  3. Oh and check out the discussion here: http://biobreak.wordpress.com/2013/10/10/lotro-heading-off-a-riot/
I was less intereasted in the actual beta details than the discussion of TURBINE’s communication or lack of…
